Why Express One?

In 1997, a company specializing in package logistics was established under the name Road Parcel. Ten years later it was acquired by the Austrian Post, along with Merland Express, and in 2009 it joined the TRANS-O-FLEX Logistics Group, taking on the design elements of the German Schnell-Lieferdienst GmbH & Co. KG. With that step, the Austrian Post introduced the brand famous for its combi-freight logistics in Hungary for the first time among its subsidiaries.

Our company is a subsidiary of the Austrian Post with stable international background, one of the most important domestic courier service provider in next day guaranteed delivery. Our predecessors were present on the domestic market already in 1997 and have established our success with their continuous development. Within a guaranteed time, we will forward documents, merchandise and other items to our customers in a hub and spoke network. Besides the standard, less then 40kg weight addressable and individually identifiable hand-movable packages, our company undertakes the delivery of palletized goods within the same network.

More then 450 couriers are responsible for delivering 30,000 domestic and import consigments daily.

What we can?


Customers first

Maintaining the relationship with our clients, handling their enquiries and requests is the daily responsibility of our 20-member customer service staff, who ensure that customers are always in focus at trans-o-flex. For key partners we also provide a VIP customer service staff to take care of their needs.

Customers may request information on the status of their shipment both via sms and e-mail, or track its route on the Track & Trace surface of our web site.

For an even more effective and simple customer service, we have also developed an E-helpdesk at our web site where clients may submit their general requests at any time of the day, quickly and online.

Present everywhere

We pick up and transport packages in the entire territory of the country with the help of 20 depots, and deliver them the next working day following their receipt. What’s more, we also undertake shipments to international destinations, involving 16 countries. Relying on a well-organized international network of partners, international deliveries are characterized by the same high standard of quality and reliability that we demand from ourselves.

How do we work?


The route of a package

Consignments received from our partners are taken by our couriers to the depots. With the help of our line-haul network, all of these packages are carried on to the central depot in Budapest, where they get measured and bar-coded. Then the sorting system directs each package to the appropriate depot based on the addressee’s zip code. During the night, the packages are transported to their respective receiving depots, where the optimum routes are planned for the couriers, who start work early in the morning.

Shipment consolidation

A competitive edge for our clients

Packages from the same sender, sent on the same day, using the same shipment option and the same packaging units (boxes or pallets), sent to the same address, but having different waybill numbers are handled jointly by Express One. This is what we call “shipment consolidation”.

With this service available, your customers may submit several orders a day, which you may prepare and pack up right away. Yet, these different consignments with their own ID numbers will be handled jointly, and the freight will be calculated on the basis of the joint mass of the packages. Thus, our clients realize savings on their shipment!


Express One has all the insurances needed for its operations

Based on this, our clients’ consignments are insured up to their value certified by commercial invoices, from pickup to delivery. In order to prevent damages, though, it is important that our partners, knowing the type of goods they are sending, always use the appropriate method of packaging.

From pickup to delivery, your consignments go through at least four check points. In these facilities we use mobile PDAs communicating through wireless or GPRS networks. With the help of these devices we ensure that every operation is traceable as well as that the undertaken 24-hour delivery deadline is observed. Real-time information on the route and status of your consignments is available on the “Track & Trace” surface of our web site.

Delivery capacities

Szállítási kapacitásThe logistics department of Express One monitors the loadedness of the vehicles of the line-haul network as well as of the local delivery circuits so that the requested deadlines are met in at least 99.8% of the cases. Keeping up with the ever increasing number of orders, we always create a reserve in the capacity of the distribution network so that it remains capable of handling any increases in the number of addresses (seasonal consignments, occasional promotional products, Christmas etc.) in a flexible manner.

ISO 14001As proof of our quality services, in August 2009 Express One received two integrated certificates, MSZ EN ISO 9001:2009 and MSZ EN ISO 14001:2005, issued by International CERT Hungary Kft. for the standardized operation of our quality management system and environmentally focused governance system, respectively.

Our goal is to maintain a quality management system that ensures the prevention and correction of errors, as well as the control and development of our service level. Beside that, our main principle is to constantly improve the level of our services, and to that end we are carrying out structural, IT and technological developments on a regular basis.

Since we want to meet our customers increasing requirements, we keep expanding our shipment and services portfolio.

We have set our minds on ensuring our clients’ development and becoming their strategic partner both in Hungary and abroad, therefore we keep increasing our capacities, and work in close cooperation with the members of the trans-o-flex Logistics Group, with the subsidiary companies of our owner, as well as with the service providers of neighboring countries.

As part of all that, we want to carry out our activities with the help of well-trained employees, in well-equipped offices and depots and in a nice work environment.

In order to provide quality services, we also exercise strict control over our subcontractors concerning the fulfillment of the requirements set up for them by Express One.
